Since Erik "Tabzz" van Helvert's departure from Alliance, there has been speculation that Martin "Rekkles" Larsson would be joining the lineup. Rekkles, previously the AD carry of Fnatic, has been rumored to have expressed a desire to join Alliance. Today, Alliance posted a simple image on Facebook, accompanied by the text "Speculation over."
It isn't clear how negotiations were conducted, but it seems that Rekkles will be playing for Alliance in the Spring Split of 2015 European LCS. In an interview with ESL Gaming, Rekkles' teammate, Mike "Wickd" Peterson spoke very highly of the new addition.
Rekkles was the perfect piece to finish our puzzle. He is one of the most dedicated players I have ever met and his attitude is close to perfect as a pro player. He always tries his best and practices day and night. We have also known Martin for a long time and he's friends with everyone in the team which makes him the obvious fit.
Rekkles posted his own statement on his Facebook in which he wished no ill will to Fnatic or his teammates, claiming "I couldn't ask for a better start of my career." He then expressed his desire to make the "strong team" he has now joined, Alliance, "even stronger."
To conclude, Rekkles thanked those who supported him during his month of "radio silence" and informed fans that the first tournament he would play with his new team is Intel Extreme Masters San Jose.
