Report: There was going to be Batman-inspired Darth Maul Star Wars game

1) Create coolest Star Wars character since Boba Fett

2) Give him one line

3) Kill him off

4) Make an annoying Gungan talk a lot over all three movies

Why tell us this? I don't want to know what I missed out on. It's like telling me, had I caught a different train, I would have bumped into a long lost friend.

BOOOO!! I would have loved to play as Darth Maul.

Well, it was going to be made by the same people who did the force unleashed 2, so it would of been horrible. Besides, the clone wars ruined mauls character.

BEST SITH LORD EVER! i like him more than slow-moving dath vador... I understand vador has his character and his voice, but still Darth Maul was more experienced with the light saber , i mean he has a long stick that glows on both sides! and he fought 2 awesome Jedis and practically won!

The more of these cancelled Lucasarts games we hear about, the more the death of their studio makes sense....

I'm glad. Maul is a great character but I want to see him really getting down and dirty if it's going to be a character action game. Something like Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, or Devil May Cry would feel more at home imo than Batman's combat.

The surely awesome game reminds me of Maul's novella "Infiltrator" It was pretty good, he carried out a few silent assassinations and had one major duel. That would have been a good place to start the story, then create some original errands for him to run, like picking up StimCaf for Palpatine on his way back to home base. It would have been epic.

This is sad news. If EA was smart they'd revive this and 1313, why waste all that development time on something that has great potential only to essentially throw it in the trash?

Darth Maul. Why the hell Darth Maul? He is one of the bad guys. Batman is one of the good guys.
