Resident Evil 4 Remake Trailer Teases "Special Demo" Coming Soon
You won't long to wait to sample the extensive remake of one of the most renowned games in the Resident Evil franchise.
We received a fresh look at the Resident Evil 4 Remake during Sony's State of Play presentation. The new trailer showed tons of cinematics, as Leon Kennedy explored a variety of new environments like a dilapidated mine cart chase. The trailer ended with a tease for a special demo, said to be coming soon.
The trailer didn't mention if the demo will be exclusive to PS5, as the game is also set to release on PC and Xbox Series X|S. Capcom recently announced that a VR version is also in the works, which will be exclusive to PSVR 2. The announcement also didn't mention timing for the demo, but the PlayStation Blog promised it's coming "in the near future."
In addition to RE4, Capcom announced the return of The Mercenaries game mode. It will be coming as free post-launch DLC. Capcom said in a separate announcement that timing details on both the demo and Mercenaries mode will be coming at a later date.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 24. It's currently available for preorder in a standard edition, along with a Deluxe Edition that includes extra costumes, weapons, and a treasure map.
