Looking to pick up a copy of Capcom's Resident Evil 7? Amazon has a pretty good deal on right now that you may want to consider. The online store is selling the game's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions for only $40, which is one of the best deals we've seen so far on the horror game.
Here are links to get the game's Amazon product pages: Xbox One, PS4. Note that this price is for a new, physical copy. The digital versions of Resident Evil 7 that Amazon sells are still at full price. Additionally, the PC version of Resident Evil 7 is not discounted.
This is an Amazon Deal of the Day item, so you have until the end of the day to take advantage of the offer.
Resident Evil 7 has shipped 3 million copies by Capcom's latest count. The publisher is hoping the game will do better, as it has forecast the title to ship 4 million units by the end of March.
Capcom has already released two pieces of extra content for Resident Evil 7: Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Banned Footage Vol. 2. After launching first on PS4, they are now available on all platforms. Looking ahead, Capcom will launch the free Not A Hero DLC sometime this spring on all systems. This content focuses on a character that was teased at the end of Resident Evil 7.

GameSpot's Resident Evil 7 review scored it an 8/10.
"By the end of the campaign, I was ready for the game to be over, but that's okay. RE7 ends just as it starts to outstay its welcome, and after the fact, I felt like I'd survived a truly harrowing journey," reviewer Scott Butterworth said. "The boss fights may be slightly inconsistent and certain sections might drag after a while, but RE7 is still a remarkable success. It has a clear vision and executes it with impressive patience and precision. By returning to horror, Resident Evil has once again become something special."
