Riders Republic Launches On September 2
Extreme sports game Riders Republic is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Ubisoft showed off more of Riders Republic and announced a release date during its E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward event. The massive multiplayer outdoor sports game is launching on September 2 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as well as Stadia.
Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, Riders Republic is an open-world game you can play either solo or with friends. Unlike the developer's previous game, Steep, Riders Republic trades away the snowy Alps for a more varied setting, with events spread out across some of America's best-known National Parks, including Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Sequoia Park, Zion, Canyonlands, Mammoth Mountain, and Grand Teton.
The deep dive trailer shown during Ubisoft Forward runs through a number of the activities you'll be able to compete in when Riders Republic launches later this year. After creating your character, you can meet up with other players, learn about upcoming events, and customize your character in the Rider's Ridge social space. From here, you can jump into competitions and events, including 6v6 trick battles and chaotic mass races that feature more than 50 players on new-gen consoles, and more than 20 on current-gen consoles.
There's a variety of extreme sports on offer, letting you soar down mountains on snowboards and mountain bikes, or strap into wingsuits and jetpacks if you're feeling extra dangerous. Participating in an activity earns you stars--whether you're winning races or discovering landmarks in the open world--and these stars contribute toward your overall progress, opening up more sponsorship opportunities and invites to renowned sports competitions.
Riders Republic will feature cross-play and cross-saves across all platforms when it launches on September 2. You can also register for the Riders Republic beta right now.
