Ringo Starr TMs 'Ringo' video game
Beatles drummer files mark for computer game software, as well as toys; intention is unknown.
The last time the world of video games bumped into Richard Starkey, AKA Ringo Starr, was at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles where the former Beatle took to the stage to promote the then-forthcoming Beatles: Rock Band. Now, the rock icon appears to be again traveling to the game world with a solo project. 
On January 23, 2011, Starr filed a trademark for "Ringo" under the goods and services description of "computer game software" and "downloadable computer games via the Internet and wireless devices." The mark was also filed under a description for "toys, namely toy vehicles, plush toys…etc."
It is unknown what Starr seeks to do with his video game-related "Ringo" trademark, and GameSpot's calls to Starr's Los Angeles attorney were not responded to as of press time.
