Riot announces the Battle of the Atlantic international invitational
The top five European and North American League Championship Series teams will collide in an invitational tournament held by Riot.

Riot responded to fans yearning for more international League of Legends play outside of Worlds by announcing the Battle of the Atlantic invitational today on lolesports.com.

The top League Championship Series teams from both Europe and North America will duke it out from December 14th to December 22nd along side the 2014 Spring Promotion Tournament. The format features a best-of-three match between each of the region's top five teams. Each team facing their same-ranked counterpart from the other region.
