Rock Band 4 Adds New Metal Songs Same Week as Brutal Mode Arrives
Ready for challenge?
Harmonix's music game Rock Band 4 is growing this week with three new songs (of the metal variety), a new Brutal difficulty mode, and more.
The three new songs are:
- Between the Buried and Me - "The Coma Machine"
- Opeth – "Heir Apparent"
- Symphony X – "Nevermore"
They're available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One through the Rock Band Music Store for $2 each.
These songs are challenging enough on their own, especially the Between the Buried and Me track. But Rock Band 4 players looking for a super-tough challenge can try the new Brutal mode, which arrived this week through the game's big December update. You can read more about how Brutal mode works and what else is included with December's Rock Band 4 update here.
Harmonix has also announced a new community challenge called Brutal Mode Battle. As you might have guessed, this event challenges players to compete for the highest score on Brutal mode. Contestants with the top five aggregate high scores will be flown out to Boston to compete in a final round at the studio's office. More details about the contest, including entry information and more, is available here.
