North America

compLexity announces lineups for Expansion

compLexity Gaming officially announce the lineups of their two North American Expansion squads. The organization retains it's seeded position with their coL.Black lineup by including three members from their relegated squad: Neil "PR0LLY" Hammad, Robert "ROBERTxLEE" Lee, and Royce "Bubbadub" Newcomb. The squad adds former XDG top and jungle, Kenny "i KeNNy u" Nguyen and Jake "Xmithie" Puchero to complete the roster. This team was rumored late last month as "coL #2" and seems to be the main squad going forward. The other squad, coL.White, consists of the two remaining players from their previous squad, Jonathan "Westrice" Nguyen and Kevin "Kez" Jeon. They are joined by Greyson "goldenglue" Gilmer, Joshua "Impactful" Alan Mabrey, and Derek "Lohpally" Abrams. Look out for these teams during the Expansion tournament that begins on November 15.

Counter Logic Gaming bring in scarra, try-outs begin

Counter Logic Gaming news and rumors started buzzing again with the announcement of Team Dignitas' William "scarra" Li joining the organization as head coach. This move was rumored to happen for months and the Li moved into the house this week. Li brings along former Team Dignitas staff member Adam "Comely" Fogel to join current CLG analyst, Tony "Zikz" Gray, as the organization's support staff. Alongside the news of coaching staff, the organization has announced try-outs for both the jungle and mid roles. The first day of try-outs included compLexity's Jake "Xmithie" Puchero and CLG's Austin "Link" Shin. The team did not announce try-outs for the top position, which is very likely filled by Darshan "ZionSpartan" Upadhyaya, barring paperwork and poaching allegations. The top laner was seen scrimmaging with the team during yesterday's try-outs and has been heard on multiple CLG players' streams. I've heard there are many more try-outs lined up and with CLG not being voted into IEM San Jose, the organization has plenty of time to figure out their lineup for the upcoming 2015 season.

Seraph to LMQ likely

With the imminent acquisition of Darshan "ZionSpartan" Upadhyaya by Counter Logic Gaming, leaves their former top laner, Shin "Seraph" Woo-yeong, without a home. DailyDot has heard that the exempt resident from Korea has been in talks with LMQ and will likely be joining the squad; which would put LMQ with two players on the starting lineup, Yu "XiaoWeiXiao" Xian and Woo-yeong. Talks with Zhang "Mor" Hong-Wei were in progress last we heard, but nothing official has been announced in that regard.

Korea

CJ Entus lose three members

CJ Entus Blaze players Kang "DayDream" Kyung-min, Kim "Emperor" Jin-hyun, and Jung "Gunza" Gun-hee have opted to not renew their contracts with CJ Entus for the 2015 season. Rumors circulating say that Jin-hyun and Kyung-min are likely candidates to make the move to China, but most top Korean players can be placed in the same rumored pool. CJ Entus is now left with only 6 players between their two squads with the organization lacking junglers among the remaining players.

Faker turns down 1 million USD offers

According to Korea magazine Osen via onGamers, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok was given offers of almost 1 million USD by at least two Chinese companies. These streaming companies offered large signing bonuses and $200,000 to $300,000 USD yearly salaries. SK Telecom T1 recently re-signed the players contract and does not plan on releasing him. SK Telecom T1 is known for setting the standard of Korean salaries and Sang-hyeok is likely one of the highest paid professional players in his region.
