RPG Fans Should Check Out This Square Enix Game Sale On Amazon
Save on multiple Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest Monsters, Visions of Mana, Star Ocean, Romancing SaGa, and more.
A bunch of Square Enix role-playing games are discounted at Amazon and Target, making this a great time to check out some of the studio's best RPGs for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch released over the past few years. One of the most enticing deals is for Final Fantasy I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition, as the $55 deal matches its all-time low price. The collection includes the lovely Pixel Remasters of the first six games in the series. Each entry has enhanced graphics, modernized UI, auto-battle options, and other conveniences that make it the ideal way to enjoy these classics in 2025.
PlayStation owners can also check out Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for $50 (was $70) and Final Fantasy 16 for $30 (was $40). The exclusives both earned impressive reviews when they launched, thanks to impressive combat systems and engaging narratives that hold your attention despite a long runtime. Consider picking up Final Fantasy 16 if you’re looking for a standalone action-oriented RPG, as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is best enjoyed after playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Over on Nintendo Switch, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is available for only $30. This Switch exclusive, which was later ported to PC, debuted in late 2023 at $60. Square Enix recently dropped the price to $40, and now you can snag a copy for even less. The Dark Prince is the newest entry in the Pokemon-esque Monsters spin-off series, and the first to release in the US since Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 in 2011. The Dark Prince is a lengthy adventure featuring over 500 monsters and a highly varied synthesis system that lets you generate powerful new creatures to bring with you into the turn-based battles.
You won’t find any Square Enix exclusives on Xbox, but there are still great price cuts for Visions of Mana, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, and Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake has yet to receive a meaningful discount on PlayStation, Switch, or PC, but Xbox users can snag a copy of the wonderful remake for $46 right now.
