Ryan Reynolds Launches A Streaming Service For One Movie, And You Have To Check It Out
The actor is launching Mint Mobile+, a streaming service for one movie.
In 2020, we saw the launches of numerous streaming services from Quibi to HBO Max to Peacock. And today, actor Ryan Reynolds launched his own service, Mint Mobile+. And it's the most straightforward and funniest service to date--it's certainly the funniest.
Mint Mobile is a cell phone service, and Mint Mobile+ is a streaming service. However, the service only streams one movie, Reynold's 2003 film Foolproof for free. The actor revealed a video for the new service on Twitter, which you can check out below.

Believe it or not, this is all real. The Mint Mobile+ website exists and you can stream a DVD-quality version of Foolproof. The film follows a group of friends that plan heists but never actually carry them out. The group is blackmailed into pulling off one of these heists by a local gangster. Aside from Reynolds, the movie also stars Kristin Booth (Orphan Black), Joris Jarsky (October Faction), and Sean Sullivan (Umbrella Academy).
The website has even gone so far to make Mint Mobile+ look like a legit streaming service with a variety of choices. Don't let that fool you, though, as there's only one movie to watch: a standard definition version of Foolproof.

So while you're stuck at home, you may as well watch a commercial-free movie that was released straight-to-video in the early '00s. And speaking of Reynolds on Twitter, he recently released a re-edited version of Green Lantern, which is now 27 seconds long.
