The RPG first launched for PlayStation in 2000 for North American audiences (1999 in Japan) and follows two protagonists: Gustave and William Knights. SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered, like the original, lets you choose from various events in Sandail's history. The user-interface has been improved for this new version, according to the Square Enix website. Another addition will be postgame content, such as the opportunity to "fight enhanced bosses as extra battle content."
Almost four years ago, SaGa Frontier Remastered was announced. Meanwhile, the sequel wasn't the only Square Enix RPG remaster getting some spotlight at today's Nintendo Direct, either. Dragon Quest 1 and 2 HD Remake also got highlighted and will arrive later this year. To keep up with more Switch news, Nintendo rolled out the Nintendo Today app for smartphones.
