It’s an excellent time to stock up on Switch games you may have missed over the past few years, as several first-party exclusives are currently on sale at Best Buy. Both digital and physical copies are discounted for some titles, most of which are down to just $40. Since first-party Nintendo games rarely go on sale, it's worth checking out these deals before they're gone.

If you’re yet to play the iconic Zelda: Breath of the Wild, now is the time to pick it up. Available for $40 (was $60), it’s one of the best games on Switch. You’ll get to freely explore the expansive land of Hyrule as you discover new weapons and gear to help take down Calamity Ganon. You’ll also find hundreds of Shrines scattered throughout the landscape, each with its own unique puzzle to solve. There’s a lot of content packed into the game, and at $40, it’s an easy recommendation.

Prefer to jump online and play with others? Splatoon 3 might be a better fit. Featuring both competitive and cooperative modes, the quirky shooter is a colorful, family-friendly alternative to games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends, while still offering a competitive online scene for those who want a challenge. It's also on sale for $40 ($60)

Another family-friendly option that’s on sale for $40 is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (normally $60). It continues to be one of the most popular games on Switch despite launching in 2017, with heaps of unlockables, dozens of courses to master, and a long list of playable characters.

Other notable deals include Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon for $25 (was $60) and Pikmin 4 for $40 (was $60). The latter is a particularly good choice if you’re seeking a quirky, relaxing strategy game with plenty of unique environmental puzzles. Be sure to check our Pikmin 4 review for more information about the game. You can also save on two Kirby titles: Kirby and the Forgotten Land for $40 and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe for $44, which normally cost $60 each.

Best Buy's deals apply to both physical and digital copies of most of these games. Digital copies are delivered as official Nintendo eShop keys to your email, so be sure to include a valid email address so you can receive your code shortly after purchase. Physical copies can be picked up at your local Best Buy or shipped to your address.
