Scarface deals 1 million copies

I donno why you guys are all moaning about the game. In my opinion the game is great i think it is so much better than gta. And its not a copy of Gta. Basically GTA is a copy of scarface scarface was made long before grand theft auto. I think it plays very well i love the game.

I enjoy it- still do. There's no definition of a "true gamer" or a "smart gamer". You choose what you want to play and play it. Don't insult others who are individual enough to have their own opinions. If you hate this game so much, why be under it's section on this site?

I got this for pc, and with the keyboard it was horrendous. Went out and bought a Logitech usb controller and no difference ... it still sucks. But let me give it a chance; i'm going to try and get through the whole game and i'll then make a complete review.

Why is everyone bashing this game? Scarface is very solid considering it's a licensed game. Yes it does get a bit repetitive at times, but then again what game doesn't get repetitive over time? If you don't like the game don't bash those who actually do like it. Everyone's got their own interests, so just learn to respect them. And I'll bet that most of the people bashing this game didn't even play it. Well now that I got that out of my system I'm gonna go play Scarface. Kudos to Sierra for making a solid licensed game that isn't a waste of money.

I mean, after playing it off and on for a day on my buddy's Xbox, I made fun of him quite badly for actually buying it. He's one of those casual / uneducated gamer types. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just feel that mediocrity and shoddy game design shouldn't be rewarded with decent sales...

I guess people like mediocre games. Probably to go with their mediocre jobs, lives, etc. It all makes sense.

just keep in mind, that while gamespot's ratings are pretty good, they do go off into bizarre areas once in a while (perfect dark zero 9.0, wtf were they playing?, Halo 2 9.6, r u serious that is way to high, GTA:Liberity cites 8.1, wrong) and yeah i'd have to agree with the way egm and gameinfromer does game ratings (i.e. more than one person) although i do fell that E.G.M. is highly biased agaisnt Sony, and all they ever do is talk about halo being the greatest game ever made (in the mean time its no more special revolutionary than Comand and Conquer Rendegade). GameInformer is the best place for reviews hands down. i think we can all agree on that.

RE:EyeNixon Obviously you're the one who doesn't know anything about a real game. This game is mediocre, and that's not just coming from gamespot, all professional reviewers agree.

@FFMarco : You're a massive example of people who only take Gamespot's opinion into consideration, Gamespot's review of the games is very poor quality, the game has received a great reaction from gamers and most publications, don't be blind to the majority, before you tout a game as "bad" just because the only single site you ever visit gave it a bad score, from a reviewer who is probably considered the most unreliable when it comes to decent reviews.

It looks good... I like how many little features it has... Might have to get it someday. ;)

Trend games like these will always sell, even if they are not good enough. And on top of that, it s licensed ona succesfull movie like Scarface. Generally casual gamers don t choose their games upon quality, but on trend and that s cars, sports, music, gangsters, thug life. It s sad, but its logical that such a game solds so much. Its not the hardcore gamers, but the casual gamers that mess up sales. Hardcore gamers know what games are promising and good even if being a bit biased over a genre. I don t like shooters that much, but it makes me happy that a game like Gears of War sells over 1 million worldwide. Though seeing a game like Scarface sell 1 million only in North America, its so frustrating.

kinglink2 you are so wrong. a game that sells 1 million is a lot. companies don't need to spend that much money to make games. otherwise they would never make any money because games would never sell enough for them to profit.

Sure and it only took them almost 3 times the length. And a multi platform game. However depending on what they said, they might have SHIPPED 1 million copies, which really means nothing.

I only heard one person say this game was good in person. He was a 30 year old hillbilly who lives on the outskirts of town and he started swearing at his wife for spending to much money at the video store. "DAMN IT BABY! FOR ALL THIS MONEY WE COULD BE GOING TO PONDEROSA!" no im not making this up. this happened at work yesterday. this shows you the type of people who like bad games.

Charlie643: You do realize that Vice City took alot of ideas from Scarface, don't you? Go back and look at the mansion Tony Vercetti gets, then look at Tony Montana's mansion. I'm not knocking Vice city by any means. It was a good game, but Scarface was a good one also. One of the best movie transition games I've ever played to be honest. _________________________________________________________ I'm well aware that Vice City took a lot of its cues from Scarface the movie. I'm only knocking Scarface the game because it basicly just redid Vice City in its look, feel and gameplay and people are STILL buying it up. I just don't get the obsession with Scarface. Just your typical 80s all flash and style type of movie. But whatever I guess to each his own (I just didn't think there were a million of those "each").

Scarface is not a rip from GTA. GTA Vice City has a lot from the movie Scarface and from MIami. Al Pacino is the best actor.

I love this game, Its actually sitting in my xbox atm, Ive been playing this over gears, R6, Cod3, Viva Pinta, Fear, All those good games. This game is worth at least an 8 imo, Its great and its better than the Godfather, For people who bash it havent played it or a getting sick of those kind of games ala gta knock offs, But for alot of people they will keep buying these kinds of games as will i, I still dont know why gamespot gave it such a low score, The only problem is it can get a little repetitive but i only say that because its in the mag i get and i trust them, I have no problems with this game its very solid and it would of been really good if it used next gen tecnology and had better graphics because while their good their not mind blowing. And i really whish people wouldnt call it crap, You just making you self look stupid and should banned for being idiots, A bad game is like 6 and below and this game should of got an 8, Ill go by ign review because who ever rated this is a moron.
