Scene It? no longer Xbox 360-exclusive

We dont want no ****ing lame quiz game we want Episodes from Liberty City!!

I had a wii, but it evolved into a firetruck and flew away...

I liked the first two Scene It games on Xbox 360. This new look doesn't look as good as Box Office Smash, in my opinion....but my family loves nothing more than doing movie trivia so i'll grab it.

@ Nesrie Nothing to lose, either. I'd love it if they just sold the base game and sold DLC boosters for all the other stuff they had (Sienfeld, Star Trek, etc). I've got another friend who loves games (hardcore PC gamer) whose wife HATES games. But we managed to get her to play Scene It and have fun. I've been trying to get more stuff like that (ie, spouse-friendly)... who knows - he might be able to use that as a trojan horse to get a console into the house (they're on a tight budget, so something as expensive as a console isn't something he can just buy).

I am a true gamer, guess what, I do other things than play video games. This would be great if it can replace our scene it board game collections. Need something with more questions, more of everything.

I hope this cassual game could be better than the tons of party shovelware of Wii library!

we all have different taste for games man that's the point...and some look forward for junk like this very game. Most of my favorite games are actually multi-platform, I guess my message before was more to respond to earlier xbox fanboys talking crap against ps3...I like playing on 360s but I love playing on PS3 and I wouldn't trade it for anything..thus when games become multi platform I think its beneficial to people on both sides of the equation...as far as gears of war goes I just think it isnt as great as you make it out to be

No one cares. No true gamer cares about scene it, and everyone who wants scene it has the board game so this isn't even news worthy.

Octotoke, long after your copy of god of war 3 has gathered all the dust possible, i'll still will be playing games like gears of war online almost lag free on my xbox. ( everybody I know that owns a ps3, got an xbox afterwards for superior online gaming, while their ps3 has become a 600 dollar paperweight),come get that

ignorance is bliss chris maybe some people like to follow trends...for example everyone i know owns an xbox... and this website is much more xbox oriented, you can tell when you click on a link for games that are made for both 360 and ps3 the site usually directs you to the xbox side. I don't doubt that microsoft will continue to outsell sony as long as microsoft keeps on pouring money to game developers and other franchises...at least this is a market that they can't monopolize because not everyone eats their crap...and that's the beauty of the free market

lol, it's funny though because the xbox is still outselling the ps3, even with their headstart on the price reduction.

Excellent news. I told my friend about this last night and you should've SEEN his wife's eyes light up. I'm sure they'll be pre-ordering the PS3 version :) Whoever thinks casual-game news doesn't belong on a gaming site like Gamestop needs to remember some of us have non-gaming friends, family, and more to the point, significant others. This is great news for us, and helps them tolerate our hobby a little bit more ;) Especially for my buddy. His wife is still annoyed he bought a launch PS3 :P

Gastman Fable and the last Mgs won't go multiplatform. Fable won't since the Molnue as I like to call him, has become the VP for M$ overseas and MGS won't because the guy who made it has not shown any interest in doing that.

Honestly I am surprised this HASN'T come out for the Wii already. I mean that's where the casual gamers are who'd want to play it. But honestly, the regular version of the game is fine and it ALREADY plays on your 360 a it's a DVD game and the 360 plays DVDs. Duh. Oh I guess some like spending more on those clunky button things.

There is noway that Fable or MGS won't go mulitiplatform.

@gameweasl Yeah, I kinda noticed that today with the whole failure rates story. But its not all their fault, almost any forum is going to get at least one or two fanboys. It's not like they can stop reporting on everything.

@cube-gage Carry on from here: Microsoft does pay for some exclusives, something that happens to benefit me (well not really, but they outbid Sony, which keeps the games in my grasp since I don't have a Playstation 3 yet). They didn't pay to make the games multiplatform, the publishers smartened up and realise that this generation is not the one to make 3rd party exclusives (or at least, make them for free). Now if we move onto your last comment; "What next GT, Wipeout and uncharted going to 360." Well first of all it should be a ?, not a full stop/period. And no, they won't be next, reason being that they are 1st party exclusives, meaning they are published by Sony. Sony aren't going to release their titles on other console because that exclusivity bolsters their overall console package. The only way I could think of them games of going multiplatform is that Sony split with the development teams, and the teams take the licenses with them. The thing is though, I don't think Sony would ever let that happen.

@cube-gage Now I'm 100% serious; are you retarded? It sure seems like it. Either that or you're just very, very stupid. Those exclusives were third party, and had no relation to Sony in any way. The only reason they WERE exclusive to Sony's consoles is because the install base on their consoles was so large a company didn't need to bring it out on other platforms. This generation more than ever, Sony has competition concerning it's install base, more than that; it has the smallest install base. The publishers of those games KNOW they will make enough money through other platforms that it will cover the cost of making multiple versions and go on to profit them greatly. For example the latest gta game; grand theft auto 4, sold more copies on the Xbox 360 than the PS3, and if Rockstar were to release it as a Playstation 3 exclusive, gta IV would be nowhere near to being the biggest entertainment launch ever. Carry on reading above.

ps3 owners beware. this game sucks. i bought this game on 360. the games sold in stores that plays in any dvd player is way better.

Why would Playstation 3 owners choose to buy a quiz game with such limited scope, when they can buy a game that allows them to play user-generated quizes and purchase questions/quizes across a wide variety of genres?

@cube-gage Microsoft didn't buy squat - none of those third party games were bought over to the 360. Those publishers simply want to recoup the cost of making those games, and CHOSE to release those titles on the 360 due to it's larger installed base. Stop spouting Microsoft conspiracy crap, please. Bioshock went to the PS3, right?

WTF are sony thinking giving away a frachise that has been an icon for sony over the years. Sony seem happy to let MS just buy their exclusives. Just look what happened to GTA, maybe sony of japan just didnt realise how important GTA was for people in the West. What next GT, Wipeout and uncharted going to 360.
