Sea Of Thieves Gets Fiery New Foes In Latest Update
The Ashen Lords has arrived in Sea of Thieves' July update, Ashen Winds.
Sea of Thieves' July update, Ashen Winds, is live now, bringing a new permanent enemy to the high seas. Captain Flameheart has gained the knowledge to transform some of his followers into the four Ashen Lords: fiery foes powered by the Ashen curse.
The new Ashen Lords can spit fire at their enemies, but more importantly, their skulls can be used as fire-blasting weapons once they've been defeated. However, the skulls can also be turned into the Order of Souls for a reward.
The update brings Ashen pets to the emporium alongside new emotes and a kraken cat outfit for your four-legged friend. There is also a sale on Rare-inspired ship bundles, featuring designs based on games like Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Piñata, and Perfect Dark.
Ashen Winds brought new accessibility features to the game, including an option for those afraid of the ocean's depths. Sea of Thieves will be optimized for the Xbox Series X later this year, along with Gears 5 and Forza Horizon 4.
