Second Cool Boarders Challenge

989 Studios announced the commencement of its second annual Cool Boarders Resort Videogame Challenge on Wednesday. In this 989-sponsored event, employees from top snowboard resorts around the country will compete against each other on Cool Boarders 4, the company's latest PlayStation snowboarding title.

The Cool Boarders challenge will let 16 players from each resort compete in bracketed tournament play. The event takes place throughout this winter season. One finalist per resort will be chosen, and that person will receive a copy of Cool Boarders 4, a Cool Boarders 4 beanie, and bragging rights as the local CB champ.

"The Cool Boarders 4 development team has really gone big this year by adding scores of all-new tricks, 16 professional riders, numerous courses, and dozens of real snowboards," said Jeffrey Fox, vice president of marketing for 989 Studios. "And because of the popularity of the 'Resort Videogame Challenge' last year, we wanted to bring this great competition back. Now the best snowboarders from around the country can prove themselves on and off the mountain."
