Warzone Firefight builds on Halo 5's massive-scale Warzone mode and goes further, as players will take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies and objectives.
"In Warzone Firefight, up to eight players will work together to complete five rounds of increasingly difficult, dynamic objectives set against a timer to emerge victorious," 343 explained.
343 went on to reveal that Warzone Firefight will have "more enemies than ever." This include a new "Mythic" tier of enemy bosses.
"Thought the Warden Eternal was menacing? You ain't seen nothing yet," Microsoft said. "Warzone Firefight features the most on-screen enemies in the history of the franchise, making for frantic and exhilarating matches."
Warzone Firefight also provides players will "full access" to all of their Reqs--these can include things like weapons, vehicles, armor, power-ups, and more.
Warzone Firefight will be released this summer. A release date was not announced, but the image below suggests it may be Halo 5's final piece of free DLC. The next content drop is Ghosts of Meridian, which comes out in April. The first details and images for this add-on were recently released.
Pro gaming team CLG defeated Allegiance by a 4-0 margin tonight to win the Halo World Championship, taking home not only a trophy but also a prize of $1 million.
