See Microsoft's 2016 Xbox One and PC Exclusive Games Lineup Here

Posting on the Xbox Wire today, Microsoft provided an overview of the "exclusive" games coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2016. There aren't too many surprises, but, among other things, Microsoft confirmed that ReCore will come to PC, while Gears of War Ultimate Edition is penciled in for a March 2016 Windows release. Its release date was previously undisclosed

Microsoft also confirmed that it will release more updates for all versions of Minecraft in the coming year, though no specifics were provided.

It's also worth noting that this list may grow as games are announced throughout the year. On the other hand, some 2016 games may get delayed, as was the case with Bayonetta developer Platinum Games' Scalebound, which is now due to launch sometime in 2017 for Xbox One.

• Quantum Break (Xbox One) – April 5, 2016
• Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Fall 2016
• Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016
• Fable Legends Open Beta (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016
• ReCore (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
• Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
• Gigantic (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
• Killer Instinct: Season 3 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – March 2016
• Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Windows 10) – Spring 2016
• Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016
• Cobalt (Xbox One, Xbox 360 & Steam) – Feb. 2, 2016

Microsoft said its plan for 2016 is to "go even bigger" than 2015, and offer the "greatest games lineup anywhere."

In addition to the games mentioned above, Microsoft will add "hundreds" more Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup, while fans fan also look forward to new Xbox One system features like support for the Cortana digital assistant.

For its part, Sony has said PlayStation fans can look forward to an "unprecedented rush" of big games for the PlayStation 4 in 2016. Nintendo, meanwhile, plans to start talking more about the NX this year.

As part of Microsoft's announcement today, the company also said Xbox Live broke records in 2015. On December 28, more people logged into the service than any other day in the history of Xbox. In addition, hours spent gaming on Xbox One and Xbox 360 during Christmas week 2015 (Dec. 20 – Dec. 27) rose compared to last year, though a percent increase figure was not disclosed.
