The iconic swords wielded by Geralt in open-world role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been created in real life by YouTube channel Man at Arms: Regorged. Both the Serpentine Silver Sword and Serpentine Steel Sword were forged by a team of blacksmiths and craftsmen. Check out the results in the video above, which documents the lengthy process.

Both the Serpentine Silver Sword and Serpentine Steel Sword can be obtained early on in The Witcher 3. Protagonist Geralt is frequently seen carrying the swords in the game's art.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 19. The game was extremely well-received in GameSpot's review, scoring a ten out of ten. Following the launch of the game developer CD Projekt Red released 16 pieces of free downloadable content. While most of them aren't of the large variety, they are free. The developer hopes that other studios will follow in its example of providing free content post-launch.

More recently, CD Projekt Red has also released official mod tools for the game. However, some players have expressed discontent at the tools made available.

@Ripper_TV: Actually swords were designed by Jan Marek, concept artist who is a fan of authentic medieval weaponry. His swords are pretty much functional and could be used in real combat. His designs are superior - other games' swords are cheap, usually ridiculously looking toys.

@Ripper_TV: They're functional. If you want huge, ridiculously shaped weeaboo weapons that would be useless in a fight, play any JRPG.

A building support beam with a grip and pommel does not make a sword :)

Those aren't the "iconic witcher swords"..it's actually Addan Deith for silver sword (that has wolf head as it's pommel) and Steel sword is just the basic one.

@Darkhol0w: I think by "iconic" they really meant "the ones with the most concept art to draw from" - I think they did a phenomenal job. I'd be interested to hear what the strength difference is between a forged blade and a C&C blade.

@Gamer_4_Fun: Hattori is underpaid, he sometimes goes broke due to how expensive I sell my randomly obtained swords. The only time he was swimming in a pool of gold was when I was crafting Witcher gear sets but that didn't last long!

He'd probably remember that selling dumplings was more profitable.

@BrunoBRS: Haha but you don't really need to get plutonium for that. They could have used a chrome finish to reflect particular shades from different angles.
