Sega builds marketing team
Sega promotes an executive and announces new marketing divisions.
Sega of America announced today that it has built its own marketing organization for North America by creating two new divisions and adding resources to its San Francisco offices. Sega's marketing division will now be split into two divisions: sports and entertainment. Sega is looking to fill positions for the new divisions immediately. Sega's first addition to the entertainment division was Mike Fischer. Fischer has 11 years of experience in the video game industry and will be responsible for managing all marketing efforts for the entertainment division. Fischer will also be responsible for maintaining popular Sega franchises such as Virtua Fighter, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Shenmue.
