Semifinalists Report

Here is a rundown on what happened in the Semifinal matches to determine the winners who we will see this on Tournament TV.

- Semifinals Match 1 consisted of Ultra_Luigi, Ntaero and SimplyPFlynnah. This match ended up having many restarts due to players not joining before the timer ended. We also had a few disconnects for the duration of the match. Once the players were all in match they duked it out until there was server disconnect. The first server disconnection was easy because all players had the same stock. We created a new game with the remaining stock as what was shown before the disconnection. Once again, it took all of the players to reconnect and a few restarts because everyone didn't join before the timer would expire. This was delaying the other match that needed to happen. Due to the tight schedule of running two tournament rounds on the same day in between other matches happening for Quarterfinals, this game was going find until another server disconnection occurred. Two players had 1 less stock than Ultra_Luigi. Restarting the match would not have been fair because everyone would have had to start with the same stock. . The GameSpot Admins discussed the issue and called the match according to the player that had the most stock.

- Semifinals Match 2 consisted of hx0r1337, MrJazzbo and ssj3goku. ssj3goku was out first; hx0r1337 and MrJazzbo continued to battle it out until hx0r1337 was the last Brawler standing. hx0r came to the tournament chatroom and asked Jazbo to take his travel prize package leaving everyone in the chatroom in question on why he'd throw away a chance to win $700. After a few of the players asking hx0r if he was underage, he finally admitted that he was under the age of 18 years old. MrJazzbo was happy to take the prize. However, ssj3joku was upset that he could have had a 1v1 match if the underage player would have been reported by someone who knew his real age, right? Well, Jazbo said that he would have been much more aggressive if it was a 1v1 match because the playing styles change if it is a free for all format compared to a 1 on 1 format. ssj3goku challenged MrJazzbo for a rematch that was off the record. The grudge match between them still resulted in MrJazzbo winning the match.

- Semifinals match 3 consisted of PainElemental9, inflammable01 and Admiral_T. This was a tricky match because PainElement was dominating with his Luigi skills. inflammable01 was the first to be defeated while PainElemental9 and Admiral_T continued to brawl. The outcome was PainElemental9 winning this match. However, after receiving his affidavit, we found out that he was under the age of 18 years old. Once again, we had another player that could not claim a travel prize package because they had entered false information to register for the tournament.
