It's been almost 13 years since we first played Shadow of the Colossus on PlayStation 2. At the time, it was known as a masterpiece, lauded for its mysterious, lonely world, gorgeous visual direction, and of course, its 16 massive bosses. With the impending Bluepoint remake (of Team Ico's game) on PS4, we dive into the first five battles of the sweeping epic.
In the archived livestream above, you can watch Mike Mahardy relive (and revise) his nostalgia for the original game, while Erick Tay experiences much of it for the first time. They also try some of the remake's visual filters, HUD options, and control settings.

@deadpen: Lol. That's exactly how I feel. How weird does someone have to be to want to watch someone's face while they're watching them play a game? I can never watch stuff like this. If it were just the gameplay, I'd watch a little, but having to listen to and watch these dorks is where I draw the line.
Replaying it on PS3 right now so that I can appreciate all the new changes that much more. But I don't remember the third boss being THAT frustrating. I think something was tweaked to make them shake more.
@frosty988: I heard about the ps2 version through a movie with Adam Sandler ‘Reign Over Me’ the game makes you feel alone and depressed. Although it’s such a great work of art.
