Shining Soul confirmed for Europe
Infogrames announces that it will release the latest game in Sega's long-running RPG series in Europe early next year. New screens inside.
Infogrames has today announced that it will release Sega's Shining Soul in Europe in February next year. The game, which was released in Japan earlier this year, is the latest RPG in Sega's Shining series, and it is set approximately 1,000 years after the events of Shining Force , which was released for the Sega Genesis in 1992. Other games in the series to date include Shining and the Darkness, Shining Force , and, most recently, Shining Force .
The plot of Shining Soul involves a dark dragon that emerges after being sealed away for hundreds of years, causing the populace to live in terror. Players, as a warrior, archer, wizard, or dragonute, join up with a mysterious group called the Crew of Light, who have vowed to defeat the dark dragon once and for all.
Interestingly, up to four players will be able to go through the adventure together, although doing so will require a copy of the game for each player in addition to a link cable. For more information on Shining Soul, check out our Shining Force of the Japanese version of the game.
