Silent Scope 2 on the PS2?
Konami plans to release its sequel to Silent Scope on the Sony PlayStation 2.
GameSpot has learned from several retail sources that Konami plans to release Silent Scope 2: Dark Silhouette for the Sony PlayStation 2. The arcade version of this sequel is similar to the original Silent Scope and it lets players snipe several new enemy characters, including a female character armed with a flamethrower. The game features levels set in London and the Arctic, among others. Konami has not made any official announcement concerning the game, and it is not known at this time whether Silent Scope 2 will be part of the company's E3 lineup. Look for the game to be released on the PS2 by the end of the year. GameSpot will have more on the PlayStation 2 version of Silent Scope 2 as it becomes available.
On a related note, Konami also currently plans to release ESPN NHL 2Night 2002 and ESPN NBA 2Night 2002 for the Sony PlayStation 2. More information is expected within the next few weeks.
