Skyrim Anniversary Edition Adds Fishing, PS5/Xbox Series X|S Upgrades On The Way

My god i own so many copies of Skyrim.

MostRecent is PS4 VR which i still havent tried..

As annoying as it is i will hopefully just get the Xbox XS upgrade for $10 bucks..

But knowing Bethesda it will only be available down the road so to entice gamers to rebuy the whole game again.. Hey, i could be wrong.

It's been exactly 10 years since I last played the game on my own system..,,,and this edition might be the appropriate one for me to get back to it.

The fishing game thing is not much of a pull, but I do hope they could put in some mod-inspired content?

For the console versions, I'd really love to be able to change the skies to Aurora Borealis for forever, I'd want unlimited (or a much larger) inventory, autoloot feature, more vendors with bigger wallets, deadlier dragons, and hopefully, all the bugs will be gone, too.

It should be free to everyone, i'm sure most fans of Skyrim have bought the game at least twice already.

it's funny .. I literally have done everything... at this point..that's possible in Skyrim.. aside from the creation club content.. yet I find I still want this. If there's new achievements then I'm in. Crazy yes.. but I do love Skyrim. Also.. this is totally just to keep us busy until the next Elder Scrolls.. which from what I last read.. is still a ways out.

The one platform where this would make sense, the Switch, is missing. 🤔

So, is it different than the last edition they put out? Beyond the fishing mini game, I mean.

What’s, “10 years of content” mean? Just the usual expansions, or are they packing other stuff in there too?

Who am I kidding though, let's face it folks, they'll be laughing all the way to the bank... again. I guess at least it's a free upgrade for us that own it already, so probs check it out for 10 mins and that's it. Was kinding hoping MS would put a cork in Todd Howard's mouth for doing this crap. Console versions will be loaded with bugs that moders fixed a decade ago on PC of course.

No one should buy this. Its ridiculous how much they have milked this game and how long its been since we've had a new ES.

The release gap between ES: Arena and Daggerfall. 3 years.

The release gap between Daggerfall and Morrowind. 6 years.

The release gap between Morrowind and Oblivion. 4 years.

The release gap between Oblivion and Skyrim. 5 years.

The release gap between Skyrim and Elder scrolls 6. 10 f***ing years in a f***ing row, and in f**king counting. And we don't even have a f***ing screenshot yet!

What i miss? Fallout was never on the same quality level as ElderScrolls but

Fallout 4 wasn't even close to the same ballpark as Fallout 3and neither of them were even same sport as New Vegas.

imo Fallout should have it's own team/department and ElderScrolls it's own and Starfield etc.. And im sire it's this way now but it shoudla been this way 8 years ago..

IMO they only started on new Elder Scrolls 4 years ago at best..

I hope nobody buys this new Skyrim at full price..

I love Skyrim, but enough is enough. How many times are they going to sell people this game? Elder Scrolls VI should’ve been out 5 years ago. We had an entire console generation go by without a brand new Elder Scrolls game. Same thing goes for GTA.

You can already fish in Skyrim. It’s called just grabbing the silly things! There doesn’t need to be a crappy fishing mini game. Fishing mini games are never good or easy.

Although we shouldn't get a Free upgrade as this new version includes new content making it a different product from what we already own...that's if we go by what other companies say as an excuse of not providing Free upgrades.

I mean I bought the og version, then the dlc, then the SE version. Im sure I am not the only one.

they sold millions of copies of this game, the upgrade should have been free.

I never finished the vampire dlc, hundreds of mods ruined it for me at the end. not sure I have the patience to retread old ground.
