Skyrim Special Edition 1.2 Update Is Out Now on All Platforms

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition's 1.2 Update launched on PS4 and PC earlier this week, and today it became available on Xbox One.

Bethesda Studios' Twitter account confirmed the update's availability on Xbox One. The patch notes aren't long, but they purport to fix multiple things including stability, performance, various issues, and crashing.

Additionally, everyone should now be able to transform from a werewolf back to a human and change the load order of mods without fear of crashing. Speaking of mods, there have been some general bug fixes and improvements to the browsing experience.

• General stability and performance improvements
• Fixed issue related to using alt-tab while playing the game (PC)
• Fixed issue with water flow not rendering properly
• Fixed crash related to changing from werewolf back to human form
• Fixed crash related to reloading after changing Load Order of mods
• General bug fixing and improvements with browsing Mods

Based on these notes, it doesn't seem like this update deals with the specific crashes that were reportedly caused by update 1.1 on all platforms. Bethesda said it's investigating the crashes, but we haven't heard anything about a fix or any workarounds. Another issue Skyrim Special Edition suffered from was compressed audio before getting fixed in a previous patch.

In related news, Fallout 4 mods are finally coming to PS4 with Update 1.8 this week. However, there's no word on when Skyrim Special Edition mods will make their way to the platform. We'll keep you updated as more is revealed.
