Welcome to Hong Kong! This cosmopolitan city's maze of streets has much to offer by way of entertainment, so let us guide you around some of what it has in store. Take care though; not all of Hong Kong's residents are this warm and welcoming.

Accommodation!

Your apartment comes fitted with all the mod-cons. Here's a wardrobe to hold clothes acquired from Hong Kong's numerous shops. Thirsty? Take a drink from the fridge to gain a buff to your combat abilities. Voyeuristic? Access the city's security cameras from your TV, letting you call in the police on anyone who seems suspicious. Or even someone who doesn't. Your room also has a fully functional toilet.

Friendly Locals!

A friend in need is a friend indeed, and Hong Kong has plenty of needy pals. An orange circle on your map indicates a side mission, such as a cheated racer in need of some lighthearted revenge. Help him out by messing up his rival's wheels, and you'll be rewarded with some sweet FACE XP that can open up new activities and clothing options. Or your bro who needs help moving his shipment of dope. You've got his back, right?

Community Service!

You can also do your part to keep Hong Kong safe by taking on Triad mobs waiting around the corners of some of the seedier parts of town. Those Hong Kong visitors who have previously spent time in Arkham City will be familiar with the melee mechanics here--though Sleeping Dogs sacrifices a little of Batman's elegance to give a better sense of a gritty fistfight.

Law Enforcement!

Police officers patrol the streets on foot, on bikes, and in cars, and anyone causing trouble can expect a chase. Visitors may want to aid the HKPD by busting a few drug rings, earning some Cop XP along the way, which can be spent in the upgrades menu. Care is urged, however, as these gangs may be armed with knives or guns. Any tourist attempting a bust should make themselves familiar with environmental takedowns. See that nearby dumpster? It has got some goon's name written all over it.

Drive Safe Now!

What better way to spend an evening than with some fender-bending fun? Reaching a chequered badge on the map begins one of Hong Kong's drag races, letting you speed through the neon streets in an effort to smash your rivals. With Sleeping Dogs' ram maneuver you can drive your foes into other vehicles and off the road for ultimate satisfaction.

There are loads of things to do outside the main story of Sleeping Dogs, with hours to be wasted in the Hong Kong urban wilderness.
