Snag The Popular Star Wars Deckbuilding Game For Only $14 At Amazon
Designed by Fantasy Flight Games, Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game is a fast-paced and replayable strategy card game for two players.
One of the best Star Wars tabletop games is on sale for ridiculously cheap at Amazon. Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game is discounted from $38 down to only $14.45. This highly replayable strategy card game originally released in 2023 and was followed up by a Clone Wars Edition last August. Star Wars fans should also check out Amazon's steep discount on this Star Wars: Unlimited Trading Card Game Booster Box, which drops the price to only $68 (was $120).
The original game adapts the Galactic Civil War of the original Star Wars trilogy into a two-player card game with one player controlling the Galactic Empire and the other the Rebel Alliance. Players create custom decks with cards that feature iconic Star Wars characters, vehicles, and locations, and face off in head-to-head matches (lasting roughly 30 minutes) to decide the fate of the galaxy.

Everything you need to play comes in the box, including 140 cards players use to create their own decks, a rulebook, damage counters, resource counters, and a gameboard for tracking each player's progress as they either save or conquer the Star Wars galaxy.
Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game would make for a great gift for Star Wars fans or really anyone who likes deckbuilders, especially those with a sci-fi bent. If you're a big fan of the Clone Wars, check out the Clone Wars Edition of this deckbuilder. As mentioned, the Clone Wars Edition also carries a $38 list price, but it's on sale for 20% off. We'd recommend starting with the original to see. if you like it, especially since it's available for half the price of the newer one right now.

The deckbuilder isn't the only Star Wars card game created by Fantasy Flight. Last year, Fantasy Flight released a collectible trading card game set in the Star Wars universe. Star Wars: Unlimited TCG debuted in March 2024 with Spark of the Rebellion. It was followed up by Shadows of the Galaxy last July. The third set, Twilight of the Republic, released in November. The fourth Star Wars Unlimited TCG set, Jump to Lightspeed, is scheduled to launch on March 14.

Booster boxes and starter sets haven't always been easy to find at major retailers, but Amazon has some deals on them right now. You can get Twilight of the Republic and Shadows of the Galaxy Starter Sets, each of which comes with two pre-made decks, for $27 and $25, respectively.
The best deal right now can be found on the Twilight of the Republic Booster Box. For a limited time, Amazon is offering the 24-pack booster box for only $68, which is over $50 less than its $120 MSRP. Each booster pack contains 16 cards, so you're getting 384 cards total. You can buy the new Jump to Lightspeed Booster Box for $119 at Amazon. The latest expansion set also has a 12-pack Carbonite Booster Box, which is essentially Star Wars: Unlimited's version of Magic: The Gathering's Collector Boosters.

Each starter set comes with two decks: one led by a hero from the light side of the Force, another led by a major character from the dark side. Starter sets also contain themed deck boxes, poster playmats, counters, and the rulebook--everything you need to get up and running with ease. One interesting thing about the starter sets is that each deck features 10 exclusive cards. Here are the heroes and villains each starter deck is framed around:
- Twilight of the Republic Starter Decks - Ahsoka Tano and General Grievous
- Shadows of the Galaxy Starter Decks - The Mandalorian and Moff Gideon
- Spark of Rebellion Starter Decks - Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader
Jump to Lightspeed has Spotlight Decks instead of Starter Decks. These individual decks are themed around Han Solo and Boba Fett. At the moment, you can only buy a six-pack featuring three of each variant at Amazon.

Star Wars: Unlimited is designed for players ages 12 and up. Like the deckbuilder, Unlimited is a fast-paced card game with matches typically lasting 20-30 minutes.
In addition to Jump to Lightspeed, Fantasy Flight has two more expansions planned for 2025: Legends of the Force, and Secrets of Power.
