The Daytona USA car in Fighters Megamix. The Walking Dead's Negan in Tekken 7. Yoda and Darth Vader in Soul Calibur IV. Fighting games are no stranger to guest characters, particularly those who enter a battle from outside the confines of other fighting games. SNK has announced that Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves will follow suit, as international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been confirmed for the game's playable roster.

A collaboration between Fatal Fury and the Portuguese footballer was teased last year, but outside of a brief video, no other news came from it. Now, a second trailer has confirmed Ronaldo will join Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and more on the City Of the Wolves roster, with gameplay showing off his moveset to boot.

Now Playing: FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves|Official Cristiano Ronaldo Full Gameplay Reveal Trailer

As some might expect, Ronaldo is a kick-heavy fighter with multiple sweeps, tackles, and even a stylish flip kick. He's also able to conjure energy balls from thin air, then control them with his feet before launching them at the opponent. Ronaldo's full move list, along with his in-game character biography, has since been posted on the game's official website.

Ronaldo is not the first guest character announced for City Of The Wolves, as Street Fighter's Ken Masters and Chun-Li were announced to be part of the game's first season of downloadable content. However, it seems Ronaldo will be available in the game at launch, so he will technically beat the Street Fighters to the streets of South Town as the new Fatal Fury's first guest.

Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves launches April 24 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Those who preorder the Special or Deluxe Editions will gain access to the first season of downloadable content at no extra charge, along with a retro costume for Terry Bogard and three days' early access.

what was the point of putting soccer player into a fighting game hell it's even more of a half assed idea because the guy could not even bother to do the voice acting for the character they got someone else to do it.

The hell? It would make sense if it were a known fighter instead. What's next? Making Taylor Swift in the rooster? They think they releasing Fortnite or something lol. :DDD

"Fighting games are no stranger to guest characters"

However as far as I know all of them are fighters so it makes sense lol.

I just noticed the guy is not even voiced by Cristiano Ronaldo. This makes the sense more nonsensical like they didn't have permission from the guy or something ayy lmao.
