I was reading the headline thinking "Why is Sonic forcing a debut gameplay video?" Why so pushy, Sonic?

It looks ok... but thats all. They should reboot the entire franchise, rethink it.

I honestly don't have any problem with this game just as long as that terrible camera from Sonic 2006 doesn't show it's ugly face. I still ain't gonna get this game until it hits the bargain bin though (just like every other 3D Sonic game since Sonic Heroes).

To all the 2D lovers complaining about this game. Sonic Mania is releasing as well so why are you guys even complaining??? As long as this support 60fps and resolutions upto 4K on PC, day 1 buy for me.

There's a TTG episode about this. Making everything too dark & gritty for no good reason...

I think people clamoring for an old 2D Sonic game are blinded by nostalgia. Those games were not good.

You go fast for 5 second and then run into a wall or enemy you had no way of knowing was there. It's a constant stop and go experience unless you memorized every level and every enemy position.

The idea is good and it's fun to watch Sonic go fast, but they've never pulled it off and they never will.

does it have chao along with a chao garden... I miss that little mini game

On a side note seems they are making 2 games (3d and 2d) to appeal to different taste of fans, but ultimately if each version appeal to said fan bases, those who will win is the fans who like both versions..

Its similar to Nintendo when they were killing it with 2d marios few years back and gave us Mario Galaxy to those that loved the 3d mario

These were the same people who made Colors and Generations, so It should be one of the better Sonic games.

You'd think we'd be happy for a Sonic game like this after coming from two Sonic Boom pieces of shit.

I feel like Sonic has enough character that a story driven, 2d/3d brawler/adventure game would be a big hit. You could throw the token classic sonic level in for good measure. Either way I would like to see sonic branch out from what it was and become more like - Sonic the cartoon is now a game.

Im not particularly a Sonic fan but why on earth have they gone with the same shitty 3d formula of Sonic adventure from the Dreamcast???. If they want to make Sonic great again it needs to go back to a 2d styled game Nintendo still pumps out superb 2d Mario games and there is still a huge audience for that type of gameplay, SEGA are messing their mascot up once again.

Honestly, if it weren't for a some touched up but not great graphics, I wouldn't even know this is a new Sonic and would think it's an older game.

oh boy, a game purely based on speed. In order to maintain 30 FPS, it will have to be at 420p on X1.

This looks pretty good. It has a arcade type look and feel to it. I'm looking forward to this

Looks beautiful! The graphics and the setting look amazing! But wished it had more exploration and platforming, like the Sonic Adventure games but aiming to be a better depiction of the Genesis games translated to a 3D world, if that makes sense.

I just watched the video. I noticed Red Star Rings and what looked like a Wisp capsule.

Could they just get the people who made Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 to make a new one instead? Those were honestly my favorite Sonic games because they had sort of an open world adventure.

This did not work the last time around why would they do it again with explosions?

So its a endless runner...Poor Sonic...They just don't know how to make a good modern game.

I can't wait to play the Switch version of this game.

Let's hope it's more like Sonic adventure 1,2 or at least Sonic colors .
