Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Movie Trailer Premieres At The Game Awards

Check out the first proper trailer for Sonic 2, which adds Tails to the cast.

The first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie sequel premiered tonight during The Game Awards, with stars Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz introducing fans to the new video.

As mentioned, Ben Schwartz returns to voice Sonic again, while James Marsden and Tika Sumpter will come back as Tom and Maddie. Jim Carrey is set to return as well as Dr. Robotnik. Idris Elba will play Knuckles, while Colleen O’Shaughnessey--who voices Tails in the Sonic games--reprises the role of Tails in the film. The movie opens on April 8, and the official description can be seen below (via Collider).

Sonic the movie was released in February 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold. It made more than $319 million worldwide at the box office.
