Sons of Anarchy game 'not looking good'

Self publishing on Xbox One always brings hope.

I had a feeling that a game of this show would've been a quick cash-grab and done nothing for the great show it represents. So, in a way, I'm glad they're passing on the game. It would've ruined the shows legacy.

Sons of anarachy has the most stupid storylines to the point it's barely watchable. Also i love the whole 'the IRA are our friends' message throughout. Can't beat a bit of thumbs up to terrorists!

Also charlie hunham can't act.

It would not be as good as The Lost and Damned. Film the prequel season about The First 9 instead.

While SoA is one of my favorite shows I can't really see a game based on it being all that great.

Could be a game like The Walking Dead.

GTA: The Lost And Damned was blatantly based on Sons Of Anarchy. No doubt. Your playable character Johnny was just like Jax and Billy was almost identical to Clay. Also, Billy turned into an asshole just like Clay and shit goes wrong etc.

Even though I love Sons Of Anarchy and TLAD, they couldn't do a better job than what has already been done. I just can't see it! :(

I'm not crying and I'm not even pretending to cry about this, except that the likelihood of the game has gotten BETTER...in a few words, why would I be interested AT ALL in a game that is the equivalent of that shopping game or job sim to the many more hardcore crime sim games, or even APB Reloaded...which after all is free...

This is old news. They are running out of content. They've done it before.

Sell the rights to Rockstar. They'd make an excellent game.

I'm fine with just the TV show, I don't need a game based on it and I don't think it would do justice to the show. At this point if the most well known developers aren't interested maybe it's not meant to be, maybe you should forget about it and focus on what's good.....the TV Series.

A son's of arnachy game wont sell cos we've already seen games of that nature....particularly GTA games

Do you REALLY want a game based on this? Do you REALLY think developers are going to be able to make something good out of this? Hasn't the last thousand games based on movies/shows/comics taught you anything yet?

The Batman Arkham games are great, yes but that kind of dedication to make something truly special based on a comic character only comes when in a blue moon, on Friday the 13th when all the planets have aligned.

I'm just about to start a 4 season marathon. i hope it's a good show, but I wouldn't expect a good game.

As much as I love Sons of Anarchy as a show, it'd have to be a pretty amazing concept and execution to be a decent game. It would almost certainly have to involve a different club charter and set of characters. It'd also be difficult to pull the game off with any sense of realism unless they put an MC against an entire army of gangs and cartel thugs.

I think gamers have been burned by far too many crummy TV tie-ins (Prison Break: The Conspiracy, The Sopranos, Lost: Via Domus and Game of Thrones are all notable examples), and Sons of Anarchy has a fairly limited audience.

How about drop it, save yourself from wasting so much money on this and do something more productive that people will actually care about???

Game of Thrones RPG and now this?

I would say that Rockstar would be the perfect partner for this game based on their Lost and the Damned DLC for GTA IV, however i found that piece of DLC based in the larger GTA world was the perfect amount of Biker Gang game that i'd want i didnt feel like i wanted more. Does a game based on SoA really have the legs for a full title?

I'd imagine that larger studios like Rockstar would rather work on their own IP. Doing and existing show would be extremely limiting and tricky and TV show based games don't exactly have the best track record.
