Sony calls Last Guardian E3 listing 'purely speculative'

Remember how pathetic PS3 fanboys bragged how they got Agent, The Last Guardian, Versus 13 for their console?? Somy LOVES to announce games it's not gonna develop. Mad Max seems to be the new one.

This is taking far too long… The Last Guardian and FF vs XIII are two of the main reasons why I bought a PS3. I would have bought it anyway, but you know, it's disappointing to still know nothing just before the beginning of the new generation.

Will say if Sony show a new trailer or actual gameplay of the last guardian at E3 next week Sony will total owned Microsoft

Bioshock Infinite also had a development hell, and it was amazing!! I am sure The Last Guardian will be awesome.

My gut tells me it is not pure speculative but a nice way of saying, "we kinda trying to cover it up without outright lying about it." Bring it on E3! Side note: Hope it is for PS4, I want this game on 1080p and much less technical constraints of the PS3.

I guess PS4 will lack exclusives as Sony is not developing any title for its upcoming console.

It would be good if the media refrains from publishing articles about the Last Guardian until an actual finished game is already about to be released.

They're just giving the public false hopes at the moment.

Many people are die and many people are born and still this game not released yet .

Last Guardian has had a large development mountain to climb, considering many critics believe ICO and Shadow of Colossus were among the best games of the last console generation. I cannot imagine the enormous pressure of coming up with a follow-up with the same emotional gravitas as its predecessors. On the bright side, Sony has not cancelled this project yet. There is still hope.

Does anyone care anymore? Even if it does come out, the other two major delay games Diablo III and Duke Nukem were well below expectations. So even if it does come out I cant see it meeting the expectations.

PS Im not eqating to Diablo to Duke, but even though Diablo III was good, it was a far cry from 2 and even 1.

No, this is not slow development. Not 7 years. This has got to be a case of figuring out your gameplay is really bad then going back and redesigning major parts of the game. Probably more than once. Eventually Sony is going to stop throwing good money after bad and either cancel it or kick it out of the nest and pick up a few bucks off the pre-order suckers.

Why is there so much cynicism about this game ever coming out? it WILL get released. Why would any publisher outright cancel a game that has been in development for so long? They would have nothing to gain and all to lose. Sony would rather have it completed and take a financial loss (but at least make some of their investment back) than to cancel it and pretend it never happened. Sony knows how much love there is for Team ICO and their previous games and they don't want to let down all their fans that have been looking forward to this. Will the final product be what was originally intended? Maybe not. But even a noble failure by Team Ico is better than the majority of the games out there.

My guess is that the game went far over budget and somewhere along development it was decided to port it over to the PS4. This has caused even further delay. I believe it will be released on both the PS3 and PS4 late this year or early next year. A similar situation may have happened to Final Fantasy Versus (one can hope).

I don't really care about this game anymore. What's the point? Obviously they are having trouble making this game good.

Think it's safe to say this game is never going to see the light of day at this point. It's been in development for around 7 years now. I dont see how it could possibly to live up to people's expectations for being in the works for so long.

Ps4.... perhaps that is why all the bs was going down...a smokescreen because they were moving to Ps4?... Idk just a thought.
