Just make sure that the gameplay is as challenging as the original EQ was back in 1999. None of this reimagined WoW branded easy-mode MMOs we've seen too much of.

This will be interesting to see, I wonder if the gameplay will be similar to it's predecessors or if it will be something new.

I just hope they don't create some dumbed down console MMO and stick to PC and the hardcore EQ audience, though as it's SOE I can 99% guarantee it'll be the first.

I am tentatively very excited for this since the original was such a major part of my teenage years. If they can recapture that same endless immersion in world design and offer well-defined roles with challenging encounters, a real sense of danger in high-level areas, high risk versus reward scenarios, and relatively steep leveling curves, I'm on board. But that's just my taste. I don't know how the rest of the community feels about it. If you're not nearly or over 30, chances are you didn't play the original back in '99 and that this is just another MMO to you.

looks good and will love it on PS4 if they release it.

@ALCHEMISTx24x7 I'm not sure if they will be known for it, but with the hardware they are coming out with they are making it easier for the developers to adapt their MMOs to also run on the next gen consoles. We already know that the elder scrolls series will be releasing their MMO on the PS4 and XboxOne, I do agree with you that PC is were MMOs are meant to be played. I do see them releasing a keyboard mouse for the PS4 and possibly for xbox One too.

I would like to see if this manages to beat Evequest 1 considering Everquest 2 failed to topple it and people still play EQ1.

Kind of lame tho not being a sequel, but at least they're still releasing expansions for Everquest 1.

Can't wait to play EverQuest, Planet side 2 and warframe on my new PS4
