Sony warns of PlayStation 4 beta scams
PlayStation maker says all sites asking for personal information to gain entry to beta for next-gen platform are fraudulent.
All PlayStation 4 beta websites are fake, Sony made clear to gamers today.
"Just a reminder: Any sites asking you to enter details to sign up for PS4 beta testing are scams," the company tweeted today.
The PS4 will launch this holiday season, though Sony has yet to reveal price or region availability details for the next-generation platform.
Microsoft has not yet announced its heavily rumored next-generation platform, but like Sony, the company previously warned gamers of fake Xbox 720 sites.
The Xbox 720 is rumored to be announced during a one-off event in April, with both the Xbox 720 and PS4 believed to be available in stores this holiday.
