Soul Reaver 2 delayed
Eidos will delay the release of Soul Reaver 2 for the PS2 in order to tweak the game further.
GameSpot has learned that Soul Reaver 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2 has been pushed back to mid-October. The game was originally slated to be released on September 25. Specific reasons for the delay are unclear, but sources indicate that the game's developer, Crystal Dynamics, plans to tweak the game further prior to its final release. When contacted, Eidos did not comment on the delay.
Soul Reaver 2 was originally in development for both the Sega Dreamcast and the PlayStation 2. Following the cancellation of the Dreamcast version, the game officially became exclusive to the PS2. GameSpot will have more on Soul Reaver 2, as it develops.
