Space Channel 5 on MTV

SuperMega Media, the company behind such upcoming projects as the Final Fantasy Movie, has revealed that a TV show based on Sega's Space Channel 5 game for the Dreamcast is planned for 2001. The company's web site states that Ulala's Swinging Report Show will air on MTV News (Ulala is the main character from the Space Channel 5 game), and Ulala will debut in her own series in January 2001. It also mentions that Columbia holds the feature rights.

While a Space Channel 5 TV show is by no means set in stone, here's hoping it'll happen. Ulala's Swinging Report Show might just get videogames.com editor James "Milkman" Mielke to order cable again.

Sega of America offered no comment when contacted today.
