Spider-Man: Miles Morales Bug Turns You Into Trash
A versatile new bug in Miles Morales turns the web-slinger into inanimate objects, including a dumpster and a trash can.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X / Series S might be a generational leap ahead in terms of tech and performance, but these beautiful new games have bugs, too. Spider-Man: Miles Morales has offered up a particularly amusing example that turns Miles into various inanimate objects, including bricks, cardboard boxes, and even a trash can.

So my #MilesMoralesPS5 has broken in a spectacular way. I collided with a wall and became... Spider-Brick. pic.twitter.com/rDEyfUBErz

It's not immediately clear what causes the bug, but several of the posts seem to reference falling through walls or experiencing general collision issues just prior to the transformation. Despite Miles' changed appearance, he can still perform many of his heroic antics, including web-swinging and beating up bad guys. It's an important lesson to all of us in these trying times: You might look like trash, but you can still do your job.
This strange bug isn't the only technical issue that next-gen console owners are experiencing. Over the past few days, PS5 owners--including several GameSpot staffers--have reported serious issues with the system's Rest mode, from unexpected restarts to outright wiping saves. In terms of small details that the game's creators intended for you to find, Miles Morales also features a touching tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman in the game's credits, as well as a memorial dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement in Harlem.
