Spider-Man PS4: Silver Lining DLC Release Date, New Suits Revealed

Spidey can dress for success.

Marvel's Spider-Man has one more planned piece of DLC left to close out "The City That Never Sleeps" storyline. The final chapter, called Silver Lining, will launch on December 21 and introduce new suits. As the name implies, it brings back Silver Sable, and she's not exactly happy that Hammerhead has been stealing her weapons.

This looks to wrap up the story that began with The Heist, which left off with a cliffhanger ending regarding the antihero Black Cat. In the second chapter, Turf Wars, the villain Hammerhead continued to consolidate his power over the other New York crime families, with the help of Sable tech left behind by the mercenary. This next chapter will presumably tie up those plot threads, and includes new missions and upgraded enemies, along with new trophies and challenges.

Now Playing: Spider-Man PS4 - Silver Lining DLC 3 Trailer

Of course, the star of these DLC packs has been the addition of new Spidey suits. Each one has included three more suits, and Silver Lining is no different. This time the three suits are the Peter Parker Spidey suit from the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, a Cyborg Spider-Man suit, and the Aaron Aikman Spider-Armor. You can also get a Silver Lining dynamic theme by pre-ordering Into the Spider-Verse from the PlayStation Store.

As always you can pick up Silver Lining for $10 individually, or as part of the City That Never Sleeps bundle for $25. A digital deluxe edition bundles together the game and the DLC for $80, though you may be able to build your own discount for cheaper since the base game has gone down to $40 in some areas.

Spider verse looks identical to 2 other suits in the game. It's almost like they took the same suit, changed the color saturation and gave it a new name, lol.

@spectrexr1: I love beat em ups, so I ended up beating the game 5 times. Got the Platinum, beat it on the new hardest difficulty level, ect... I plan on getting the whole dlc pack when they're all out or it goes on sale.

Being I already played the hell out of the game, I don't see myself playing the story mode ever again, just the dlc.

@spectrexr1: God of War is great in NG+ because you start with most of the upgrades. That's usually why I play a game more than once. Another is to kill time. I don't really watch tv much anymore, so it's either games or music.

Was wondering when this would release... except for reading the Daily Bugle throughout the game and visiting Ben Parker's grave I've completed just about every trophy that matters. I was unaware you could snag a Daily Bugle out of the red vendor boxes on the street and read a paper till you read all 45 copies.

@hollywoodj: Yea but there is no trophy for doing that, so I never wasted my time with those.

@Baconelite: I would have preferred the Raimi suit over the Spider-verse suit.
