Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow goes gold
Ubisoft reveals that both the PC and Xbox versions of its stealthy sequel have been sent to production.
During a recent live community chat, the producer of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow revealed that both the PC and Xbox versions of the game have gone gold. Ubisoft's Domitille Doat said the stealthy sequel will be released in North America on March 25, just one day ahead of the European release. The PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions of the game are currently scheduled for release in June.
One of the most anticipated games of 2004, Pandora Tomorrow is the sequel to the best-selling Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. The game sees the return of covert commando Sam Fisher (voiced by Michael Ironside), who is dispatched on another series of stealthy missions. However, as opposed to the confined spaces of the original, Pandora Tomorrow drops Fisher into many outdoor environments, including a Southeast Asian jungle. The game also has an extensive multiplayer component, which pits Fisher-like commandos against more heavily armed mercenaries. Splinter Cell Pandora tomorrow is rated "T" for Teen and will retail for $49.99 when it finally sneaks onto store shelves.Got a news tip or want to contact us directly? Email news@gamespot.com
