Split Fiction Confirmed For Switch 2 As A Launch Title

Hazelight's co-op game is coming to Switch 2.

As part of the Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo and Hazelight announced that the popular co-op game Split Fiction is receiving a Switch 2 port. The game launched in February 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and now it's headed to Switch 2 as a launch title this June.

Like Hazelight's previous games A Way Out and It Takes Two, Split Fiction is a co-op-only game-- and you don't necessarily need to own the game to play it.

Split Fiction sold 2 million copies during its first week, and still has a lot of work to do to catch up to It Takes Two, which sold 23 million copies. Split Fiction's budget was almost double It Takes Two's.

A Split Fiction movie was announced in March, but game director Josef Fares has his doubts about whether or not the film will ever get made. In other news, Hazelight is already working on its next game, though exactly what it is remains a mystery for now.

This was one of many announcements for the Nintendo Direct. Be sure to check out GameSpot's news roundup gallery below to see all the biggest news and reveals.
