Square Electronic Arts has announced its lineup of PlayStation games that will be released between May and September of this year. Included in the lineup are the sequel to Parasite Eve, Parasite Eve II, and the pseudosequel to Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross. Additionally, the company has announced a release date for Vagrant Story, a title developed by the creators of Final Fantasy Tactics. "The industry spotlight is currently on the PlayStation2 computer-entertainment system since the new system launched in Japan last week. However, for US consumers, the action remains with the PlayStation," said Jun Iwasaki, president of Square Electronic Arts. "Square has a lot to offer over the next six months in terms of hot titles. The four new games slated for release through September will deliver endless hours of fun on the current PlayStation with the ability to also be played on the PlayStation2 in the future."
