Square Announces New Releases

Square Electronic Arts announced on Wednesday the next batch of games it would be releasing in the US market. Slated to hit between January and May of 2000, the company has four new RPG titles coming here: Chocobo's Dungeon 2, Saga Frontier 2, Vagrant Story, and Front Mission 3.

"We have a very strong Q1/Q2 2000 lineup that promises to satisfy gamers in a variety of genres," said Jun Iwasaki, president of Square Electronic Arts. "Both original content and the next iterations of award-winning franchises will be brought to market, some of which will be debuting in North America for the first time."

Here's when to expect the four Q1 releases:

Chocobo's Dungeon 2 - January 11, 2000Saga Frontier 2 - February 15, 2000Vagrant Story - spring 2000Front Mission 3 - spring 2000

As for games to follow in summer of 2000, Chrono Cross, Dew Prism, Parasite Eve II, and Legend of Mana are all currently being planned.
