Sci-fi series Star Trek celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2016. To celebrate, the United States Postal Service is releasing some new Forever stamps dedicated to the long-running franchise.

The stamps showcase four illustrations that Star Trek fans will undoubtedly recognize. Here's how the USPS described them:

  • The Starship Enterprise inside the outline of a Starfleet insignia against a gold background;
  • The silhouette of a crewman in a transporter against a red background;
  • The silhouette of the Enterprise from above against a green background; and,
  • The Enterprise inside the outline of the Vulcan salute (Spock's iconic hand gesture) against a blue background

The words "Space... The Final Frontier," voiced by Captain Kirk, are displayed "beneath the stamps against a background of stars." The stamps are quite gorgeous, and you have Philadelphia-based design studio Heads of State and Yale graduate and USPS art director Antonio Alcalá to thank for that.

There's no word yet on when these stamps will start showing up. The first Star Trek episode aired in September, 1966.

Other new USPS stamps for 2016 include those dedicated to Shirley Temple and Pluto, among many others.

The next Star Trek movie, Star Trek Beyond, is scheduled to hit theaters this summer. It stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and John Cho.
