Star Wars Battlefront 2 Story Will Let You Play As Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren
See what happened right after Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars Battlefront II's single-player campaign will include missions where you can play as Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren, among other heroes.
During the official Battlefront II panel at Star Wars Celebration, representatives of the teams working on the game confirmed that, while the story stars a new character, it will also include parts from other perspectives.
The new character, Iden Versio, is an Imperial commander, and the story is mainly told from the side of the Empire. But Game Director Mark Thompson of Motive Studios mentioned that switching perspectives from protagonist to antagonist is a staple of Star Wars storytelling as well as what makes Battlefront stand out, so the teams worked to include missions starring established heroes. It's currently not clear how many of these missions will be in the game.
Star Wars Battlefront II is launching on November 17 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Be sure to check out our full feature on everything we know about Battlefront II so far, and don't forget to watch the full Battlefront II reveal trailer.
