Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC Release Date Revealed With New Gameplay Trailer
Check out Chewbacca and Bossk in action in Star Wars Battlefront's Death Star DLC.
As expected, Star Wars Battlefront's Death Star DLC is releasing next week for season pass owners, prior to the previously announced double XP weekend to celebrate its launch. It brings new heroes Chewbacca and Bossk, a new gameplay mode, and five new maps.
The release date of September 20 was announced alongside a new gameplay trailer, which shows off the DLC's offerings. You get a look at both Chewbacca and Bossk, in addition to the Death Star's interior and some space dogfights. The trailer also gives us a peek at the new mode Battle Station, which has players basically reenacting the climactic trench run scene from A New Hope by destroying the Death Star from the pilot's seat of an X-Wing.

Chewbacca comes with a multi-shot bowcaster and a roar that buffs his nearby teammates, while Bossk can use a thermal-like vision to see where everyone is on the battlefield. There's a lot more to each character, and you can find out everything you need to know about the DLC's new heroes, Chewbacca and Bossk, here.
Star Wars: Battlefront's Death Star DLC is available Tuesday, September 20, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as part of season pass owners' two-week early access period. It comes as the third piece of DLC in the game's season pass. Past DLC packs included locations like Jabba's palace and the Cloud City of Bespin, with heroes such as Lando Calrissian, Greedo, and Nien Nunb. The final piece of DLC is called Rogue One: Scarif and is based on the upcoming movie. It's set to release this holiday.
