Star Wars Battlefront Double XP Weekend Starts Today to Celebrate Death Star Launch
Rise through the ranks faster.
Star Wars Battlefront players will be doubly rewarded this weekend. EA has announced that it's holding a Double XP event for the game this weekend, starting today (September 23) and running until Sunday, September 25.
According to the Star Wars Battlefront live events calendar, the Double XP event is being held to celebrate this week's launch of the Death Star expansion. The add-on arrived on September 20 for people who own the season pass; it will be available for everyone else to buy on October 4.
Death Star is Battlefront's third paid expansion, following Outer Rim and Bespin. The fourth and final one, Rogue One: Scarif, comes out this holiday; it is based on the upcoming movie.
Though Death Star is only out for season pass-owners right now, all Battlefront players benefited from the new patch that came out alongside it this week. It raised the level cap to 90, made a number of hero/villain changes, and fixed a lot of bugs. You can see the full patch notes here.
