Discounted Star Wars Trilogy Box Sets Still Available After Skywalker Saga Sells Out

Amazon has sold out of its Skywalker Saga Complete Box Set deal, but you can save on the original and sequel trilogies while supplies last.

Update: The Skywalker Saga Complete Box Set is sold out at Amazon, but you can still get deals on a two of the trilogy sets as well as Episodes I-VI in a box set.

Star Wars Blu-ray sets are surprisingly uncommon in the US nowadays--you won't find a North American box set on store shelves--and we rarely see noteworthy deals on any Star Wars bundles. That makes this current Amazon deal all the more enticing, as you can snag the region-free Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Complete Box Set (Blu-ray) for an all-time low price of $70.65 (was $91). The limited-time deal is only available in small quantities--and since 68% of inventory has already been claimed, you'll want to move fast if you're interested in adding it to your home theater. You can also get limited-time deals on the original trilogy and sequel trilogy on Blu-ray.

This bundle is offered by the Amazon Global Store UK, though the Blu-rays themselves are region-free and you get free shipping. Along with unique packaging to store all the films, you'll get 26 hours of bonus footage that runs the gamut from feature-length documentaries to a look at how George Lucas approached editing the Empire Strikes Back. The nine-movie collection spans 18 discs--here's a quick look at what's included:

  • The Phantom Menace
  • Attack of the Clones
  • Revenge of the Sith
  • A New Hope
  • The Empire Strikes Back
  • Return of the Jedi
  • The Force Awakens
  • The Last Jedi
  • The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars Trilogy Box Sets

$27+

If you're only interested in a certain trilogy, you can save on matching box sets containing three films each. The Prequel Trilogy gets you Episodes 1-3 for $35, The Original Trilogy gets you Episodes 4-6 for $28 (was $36), and The Sequel Trilogy concludes with Episodes 7-9 for $28 (was $36). All three are region-free and packed with bonus features, making them a frugal option if the Complete Box Set is too expensive. The original trilogy and sequel trilogy sets are deals with limited quantities.

Notable upcoming Star Wars books

While all of the above Blu-rays are available now, there are a handful of Star Wars books on the horizon that are up for preorder. The most compelling (and expensive) choice is Star Wars Icons: Darth Vader, as it takes a deep dive into the famous villain across more than 300 pages. Along with interviews from the cast, you'll get a complete look at the history of Darth Vader--plus a few collectible inserts and exclusive concept art.

The Darth Vader book doesn't release until Spring 2025, but there are other notable Star Wars books arriving this fall. A comprehensive Star Wars Encyclopedia (Hardcover) releases in November, and the Star Wars Bestiary (Hardcover) is slated for October.

I am surprised that gamespot updated this post that the blu-ray was sold out. Because the original heading talked about the blu-ray at discounted price.

@gamerpie: I agree, and it may because I did not care for the sequel except for the Revenge of the Sith. other than that, the rest was boring. The original Trilogy will always be my favorite. I loved Rogue one as I love tie in, and it was interesting to show the events to Darth Vader entering the Rebel ship before Princess Leia was captured.

Are not Rogue One, Solo and The Clone Wars (film,) technically, part regarding the Skywalker Saga, as well?!
Arguably moreso than Rise of Skywalker, despite the appropriated-surname.

@Eryxx: These aren't focusing on Skywalker, so no.

Although I would argue the final 4 episodes of Clone Wars, is a movie and part of ROTS as a companion piece.

And actually the best Disney Starwars movie.

Rey isn't a Skywalker. She's a.....ugh a Plapatine. So by definition the Disney Trilogy isn't part of the Skywalker saga as they all died off in Last Jedi cuz Ryan is a hack and the regretful passing of Carrie Fisher. Just because Rey stole the name at the end of the horrible last movie. That does not make her a Skywalker.

@bankaiofrdn: Although true. He pretty much stops being a character after TFW. He flip flops all throughout Last Jedi and ROSW until he randomly decides to be a good guy and dies. which was a direct rip off of how Vader dies at the end of RoTJ. Except wasn't nearly as forced like Rey x Ben.

@ezio899: yeah, just saying that's how they can say Disney's trilogy was part of the Skywalker saga.

@bankaiofrdn: In name only. Him being a Skywalker should have been a major plot point. It wasn't. It was barely even brought up in 3 movies. Matter of fact. More effort was put on him being a Solo in TFW than him being Luke's grandson. You would think Snoke/Palpatine would have put more effort into Ben instead of the ungodly fixation on Rey. Yea we all know at the end Rey is the 2nd coming of force Jesus but again. Ben was Luke's grandson. A direct line to the guy they wanted to find. But did absolutely nothing with it because it's Rey's trilogy.
