Star Wars: The Force Awakens High Quality Images Released

The recent--and final--trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was packed with new and exciting imagery, which flew by in two brief minutes. Now Disney have released a batch of high-resolution stills, which give fans a better look at some of these key moments. Check out the gallery below:

In addition, AMC theatres last week revealed a striking new poster for the film, which will be handed out to audiences who watch it in 3D IMAX every Sunday between December 20 and January 10. Here it is, via Den of Geek.

Even though there is over a month to go before the film is released, The Force Awakens has been shattering pre-sale ticket records all over the world. The movie has sold six times the number of advance IMAX tickets than any film before it, while ticketing agency Fandango confirmed that the company had shifted more than eight times as many tickets than the previous record holder, the first Hunger Games.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2015.
